One of the first steps I took was to draw my body design in full scale. Here is that drawing. I ended up moving that center line about 1/8" towards the top of the body a little after this picture was taken. I usually use French Curves to draw bodies. I just start by throwing them on the paper and drawing curves as I go.

Here is the the body drawing glued to the 1/8" thick tempered hardboard. I used a light coat of the 3M Spray-type contact cement. From here, I trimmed the board on the table saw first and then the bandsaw.

This is the body master after I trimmed it on the bandsaw. It's now ready for final shaping on the spindle sander.

This is the my Porter Cable spindle sander. I made this table that sits on my Workmate. It's MDF and formica with maple edge banding. The sander bolts to it from underneath.

This is how the spindle sander is attached. This picture is obviously of the bottom of the table top.
